Top photo:-

Cliffs at Freshwater Bay taken this evening (Feb 15th). I took my camera but thought I was too late to get the sunset, but this splash of colour appeared just before it got dark.

The second photo is the sunset on the way home from work on Saturday Feb.14th. This picture will always remind me of Gladys, who died in the early hours of Feb 15th 2009.

I have finished the owl, which I burnt onto a 50p charity shop bread board. It came out quite well, considering it is on pine, which is difficult to get even lines across the grain.

At last a sunny day. Candy & Rolls came out while I was in the garden. Max came out later, but didn't stay out long. Rolly crept up behind him & bit his tail, so he got a telling off. He just can't help himself. Whiskers slept on the table inside. He prefers going out at night.

This buzzard often sits by the side of the road between Niton and Blackgang. I took this photo from the car. I slowly moved up to get a clearer picture, but he flew away.

This is the view from the back of my house. I love frosty mornings. I would have loved to have gone a long walk across the white fields, but I had to go to work!

This clip made me laugh out loud in the library!!!!!!

My best photo yet of a buzzard. It was sitting in a bush outside Niton, and of course flew off when I stopped the car and pointed my camera at it, so I only managed a distant flight shot. I know this blog was supposed to be about my cats, but with all the cold weather they just sleep all day and all night.

On my way to work, Monday 3rd February 2009, the first time we have had snow like this for years. By mid afternoon it had all gone, and I was left with a broken indicator light after the car skidded into a wall. Oh well. Better than hitting one of the cars parked along the same road, I suppose!

Why do buzzards have to fly away just as you have focused but before you have had chance to click? Unless, of course, it's a wet, foggy & dismal day so there's not much chance of a clear picture anyway. Or maybe it was just too wet & pissed off to fly.
I have only just got this bookcase, but Candy soon found it suitable to pose on.
A view into my tiny living room from the kitchen. Candy is on the bookshelf I have just rescued from my neighbour, who was having one of her clear-outs again. Max is asleep in front of the pot-bellied stove. I should have opened the door wider so it could be seen.
